You think fashion makers invent stuff. No they take inspiration from different sources. Here is a picture of Pharell Williams draped in one of the most expensive blankets by Louis Vuitton. Where did the inspiration come from? Here is a Sotho dance group draped in a blankets, except that theirs is not by the luxurious brand. Who is setting trends and who is following?
FYI: Basotho live in the Southern part of Africa. Lesotho is an independent Republic. Though you do find Sotho speaking people in South Africa.
